Yes. MAS is committed to clean, ethical and safe products that don’t exploit animals or animal by-products
Do your products contain hormones?
No. As a brand focused solely on the well-being of women experiencing conditions induced by perimenopause and menopause, we understand that out of balance hormones play a key part in those those symptoms coming about. Because of this, we refuse to use hormones or hormone-disrupting chemicals in our products.
Are your products fragrance-free?
We add only natural fragrances from plants, at the minimum amount to provide a relaxing sensorial experience.
Are your products soy-free?
Yes. While soy and soy-derived ingredients have not been scientifically proven to disrupt hormones, we do understand that hormonal imbalance during perimenopause and menopause can be delicate and some may prefer to avoid any potential ingredients that could aggravate existing imbalances.
Do I have to be perimenopausal/menopausal to use your products?
No. While we formulated our products to help improve the skin issues experienced during perimenopausal and menopausal skin, anyone with dry, sensitive, irritated, acne-prone skin or suffering from rosacea can see benefits from using our products.
What does “clean” mean to Modern Age Skin?
Our clean skin care is that which doesn’t harm the environment, your overall health and specifically, your skin. We avoid harsh, synthetically created chemicals in our formulations, as well as naturally-derived ingredients that could be sensitizers. We don’t use the following categories of ingredients: petroleum & petroleum by-products; are known carcinogens, hormone disruptors or allergens/sensitizers; are toxic to the environment or human bodies.

Clean also means that we are transparent about our ingredients; we receive and keep documentation on each ingredients’ composition, sourcing and purity; perform stability and self-life tests; and back up any claims with study data.
What is Modern Age Skin’s commitment to the environment/sustainability/fair trade?
Before formulating, we do extensive research into how each ingredient or component of our products are sources, manufactured and certified. We choose to partner with suppliers who have an environmental and sustainable focus to their businesses as well as those who are committed to fair trade practices for the farmers with whom they work.
Since it’s impossible to acquire 100% of our ingredients as environmentally conscious and sustainably sourced, we have partnered with EcoCart to offset any emissions created by the manufacturing and transportation of our products.
The skin care industry has come long way, but we still have more work to do until all ingredients and components available can be considered environmentally friendly.
Is your packaging considered “green”?
Our bottles are one of the few colored, glass bottles that can be curbside recycled.
Are your ingredients organic/EcoCert/COSMOS approved?
Where we can, we choose organic, EcoCert and COSMOS approved ingredients in our formulations. We continually review our suppliers and add those that can support this focus in our ingredients.
